Release 2 of Varronis Museum

VMr2CoverSmallWell! It seemed that the house of Marcus Terentius Varro would be just a brief first stop in your joyful stroll through the city of Rome. But now it is clear that you will have to kill time in the courtyard while your father and Varro converse.

Varronis Museum is a puzzleless piece in which a cultured, upper-class girl devotes her spare time to explore every detail of a Roman house.

Release 1 was submitted as an entry to the IF Art Show 2007 (scenery category). The piece got an “honorable mention”.
Release 2 tries to fix a lot of inconsistencies and bugs of release 1, but there is still a lot to be done (how about proofreading?); it also includes a cover art for the work.
Download Varronis Museum here:
Release 2 (zipped *.blorb) [recommended] | Release 1 (zipped *.z8) [IF Art Show 2007, buggy]

The game is provided as a portable Z-code game file. To play it, you will need a Z-code interpreter. (Release 2 needs an interpreter which supports blorb). For Windows operating systems, personally I like Windows Frotz.
Download Windows Frotz version 1.10 here: WindowsFrotzInstaller (*.exe file) | Windows Frotz (*.zip file).

Read the reviews by the judges of the IF Art Show 2007 (release 1)

As always, comments would be appreciated as well.

Update: Wow! Brass Lantern gives release 2 a a sidelong glance in “Adventure Game News for 02 Jun 07.”
